PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

This information note aims to inform you of the Company's commitments regarding respect for privacy and the protection of personal information. It is intended to help you better understand the Company's practices relating to the collection, use and/or communication and retention of your personal information.

1. Definition and purpose: the Company only collects your personal information (i.e. that which allows you to be identified) which is necessary, directly or indirectly, for the opening of your file, for the preparation of your quote and/or your contract, your invoice, payment of your invoice, financing if applicable, and after-sales service.

2. Use: the Company only uses your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected and detailed in the previous paragraph.

3. People with access to it: only people who need your personal information to carry out their duties can have access to it, i.e. the administrative staff of the Company as well as the representatives responsible for traveling to your home. Regarding your financial information, only Employees assigned to invoicing have access to it, namely the accounts receivable clerk, the assistant to the financial director and the financial director.

4. Communication of your information to a third party without your consent:
In principle, the Company must obtain your consent to communicate your personal information to a third party. However, it is possible, in the course of its activities, that the Company communicates them to third parties, service providers or partners, in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, when this Communication is necessary for the exercise of a mandate or the execution of a service or business contract entrusted by the Company. These may include the following people:

  1. The Company’s subcontractors;
  2. Financing companies, notably Finance IT;
  3. IT service providers, notably Ordinateurs Laval inc.;
  4. External advisors (lawyers, accountants, etc.);

When the Company communicates your personal information to third parties, it ensures that they take the required measures to protect your information.

5. Place where it is held: your personal information is kept in a room to which the public does not have access, in a locked cabinet and/or on our password-protected servers. They are kept for a period of 5 years after the last registration in your file.

6.
