ACC Treated Wood
Prior to 2004, the market offered a treated wood which was its properties injection of chromated copper arsenate pressure (ACC). However, to eliminate the risk of arsenic poisoning, since 1 January 2004, there are no longer treated wood with CCA for the residential market in Quebec. It should be noted that the CCA-treated wood remains available exclusively for industrial and agricultural purposes and is not, therefore, never used by Patio Design inc.
Chromated copper arsenate (CCA) treated lumber, no longer sold for residential construction projects. CCA-treated wood is pale green in color when new but may take on the appearance of untreated wood over time. Most residential decks, fences and play structures built before 2004 are made of CCA-treated lumber. It is now banned.
